"Asian Film Archive, a subsidiary of the National Library Board"--Disc surface. Taming of the Princess is the sole surviving local Hokkien film from the 1950s, as others are presumed lost. It was digitally restored by the Asian Film Archive in 2015 using a 16mm release print loaned from the Hong Kong Film Archive. IMDA : PG. Abstract
When Princess Sheng Ping disrespects her in-laws, her husband Guo Ai is furious. Their lovers' quarrel ends with Guo Ai hitting the princess. In a petty attempt to punish her husband, the princess approaches her father. The emperor, however, devises a plan to teach both of them a lesson instead.
