Abstract
A MediaCorp Arts Central programme shown over 8 episodes, which takes a refreshing look at the lives of artistes and the different genres of performing arts. In each episode, an artist takes on a new arts discipline, which provides viewers with an interesting cross-disciplinary experience and appreciation of the different art forms by emphasising to viewers the precision and effort needed to cultivate good art. In episode 1, Asha Edmund, singer and songwriter, takes on the challenge of learning the techniques of opera singing in 3 days. We see Dr. Wong Su Sun, Artistic Director of Singapore Lyric Opera, leads Asha into this unfamiliar territory.
