Abstract
Saul, a rookie in the Wanchai Police Station, is assigned to patrol Lockhart Road, a red-light district, with the sluggish Mannix. Life of a patrol cop turns out to be both tedious and unexciting. Pushing to be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department, Saul causes a series of unnecessary trouble due to his over-zealousness. One night, during the interrogation of a group of street kids, he is provoked into fighting with one of them, who happens to be asthmatic. Saul is later accused of abuse of authority and subsequently penalized, thus seemingly shattering his dream of being a detective.
