Abstract
This story is set in 19th century New England. Eben waits for the day he will inherit the land from his tyrannical, widowed father. Eben's father takes a new wife and says he'll leave the farm to her. A heated story of passion unleashed and temptation unbridled, and of a heavy price paid for the pleasures of sin.
