Abstract
食盐有着好几百万年的历史, 它无所不在, 陆地、海洋、甚至空气里都找得到它的影子, 但它到底从何而来? 地质学家称它盐岩, 化学家说是氧化钠, 一般人则叫他盐, 是第五元素, 跟土壤、空气、水和火一样重要, 更是矿物界中用途多多的化学博士, 不但可以救你的命, 却也可以让你没命. 盐对人类来说是必要的养分, 是我们身体没有办法自行产生的, 如果不适当的摄取盐分, 我们的健康会受影响, 因此我们不得不吃盐. 它的用途高达14000种, 能调味、导电、让衣服洁白如新、驱除妖魔鬼怪、成为防止路面结冰的利器、回收再利用, 也是未来的动力来源. 我们辛苦工作领的薪水竟然也跟盐息息相关, 看来盐真的是令人又爱又恨啊.
