Dr. Bhagya Murthy is a graduate of the University of Bangalore. She excels in Indian classical and light music. Known for her melodious voice and versatility, she is one of Singapore's leading vocalists and a proud recipient of many awards, both in Singapore and in her hometown Karnataka in India. She has received the prestigious "Singaara Puraskaara" conferred on her by Kannada Sangha, Singapore, for her lifetime achievement in the field of carnatic music. She has performed extensively in India, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Japan, Cambodia, UK and USA.
