Abstract
After conceiving her child, Ying sells the baby to settle her outstanding debts, accumulated from compulsive gambling. Eng Huat, her husband, had no knowledge of this transaction, and soon finds out that $20,000 is the cost of buying his daughter back. Through this, the couple learns to overcome their fear of parenthood and also learn to embrace each other's roles as husband and wife.
