Abstract
For some, 2012 brings fear... This is due to the many vivid interpretations that the end of the world is nearing as we enter 2012. Kwok Chun (Stanley Fung) is an experienced weather forecaster, who had been eyeing the post of news anchor for the longest time. But due to the oppression from his rival-turned-boss, Chun never had a promotion in his 40-year tenure. May (Teresa Mo) is the eldest of Chun's 3 children. A successful lawyer who specialized in divorce cases, May is married to Yao (Eric Tsang), a submissive husband who doubles as home-maker. Despite being married for years, the couple is still childless and that strains the already fragile relationship. Ching (Denise Ho), the tomboyish daughter of Chun is the second of his children. She and Lok (Bosco Wong), her effeminate colleague-turned-boyfriend had been discussing about getting married. But their wedding plans had to be postponed as the lovebirds couldn't get the blessing of Chun. Sheng (Luk Wing Kuen) is the youngest of the trio. The seemingly low-esteemed youth actually had this ambitious wish to win the heart of Vivian (Vivian Zhang), a popular star who is rumored to be with tycoon, Roberto (William So)! The family of four, together with Chun's free-loading younger brother lives together. While the daily squabbles within the family continue, Chun received earth-shattering news that the world is facing a great catastrophe.
