Abstract
Drawing inspiration from the filmmaker's memories of his grandmothers, he imagines their childhood spent under different imperialist rule. A Chinese girl has to play a nursery game among English children and is mistreated. Another Chinese girl has to sing a Japanese nursery song for an officer.
