Abstract
Tragi-comic documentary of a fresh polytechnic graduate's efforts to modernise his family business by updating it online to the Internet, even if it is unlicenced moneylending. He succeeds at finding an investor to set up eAhlong.com and hits jackpot at the stock exchange after six months. But a year later, business plunges with the dot-com bubble burst and his dreams of making his father proud of him fizzle along with his good standing. This film deals hilariously with the issue of the old-fashioned economy's narrow-mindedness and new economy's greed. Ah Seng has just finished his studies at the polytechnic and wants to modernize his father's business. Unfortunately, his dad is an illegal loanshark ("ah long"). In trying to achieve his dream, Ah Seng must face both the old economy's narrow-mindedness and the new economy's greed.
