Abstract
"Front page" marks the hugely-anticipated reunion of the classic Hui Brothers (Michael, Samuel, Ricky) after their respective decade-long solo careers. Michael Hui's comic screenplay gives us his visionary portrayal of the "paparazzi" during the early 1990s when tabloid press changed the face of mainstream media. , "新半斤八两"是"许氏三兄弟"相隔近十年后再度整装上阵的经典作品, 也是许冠文踏入90年代对八卦新闻行业的率先见解, 许冠文以最深切的讽刺--许冠文、冠英、冠杰兄弟三人亲自扮演记者, 幽默地揭开"狗仔队"穷追猛打"制造新闻"的面貌, 在当时传媒开始变质的年代, 或许就是许冠文的"先天下之忧而忧".
