Façade of the four-storey classroom block of Bukit Panjang Government High School at 7, Choa Chu Kang Avenue 4. The integrated secondary school was formed in January 1960 with the amalgamation of Bukit Panjang Secondary School and Chua Chu Kang Government Chinese Middle School. Functioning at Jalan Teck Whye, it was declared open by Mr. Yong Nyuk Lin, Minister for Education, on 11 January 1960. The school was relocated to Chua Chu Kang Avenue 4 in 1993. It was granted autonomous status by Ministry of Education in 1994. Past principals are Mr. Suen Y-Chern (1960-1961); Mr. Yao Kwok Wah (1961-1966); Mr. Wee Teck Yam (1966-1974); Mr. Loo Pui Wah (1975-1978); Mr. Chan Tung Fong (1979-1981); Mr. Yar Yee Har (1981-1995); Mr. Lim Yam Meng (1996-1998); Miss Tan Lay Choo (1999-2002); Mrs. Shirleen Ong-Chee Yan Hoon (Dec 2002-Dec 2007); Mr. Lee Seng Hai (李成海, Dec 2007-Dec 2011); and Madam Chan Wan Siong (陈韵嫦, Dec 2011-to date).
