This is a photograph of a panoramic view of the grandstand, weighing room (left) and parade ring of the new Bukit Timah Race Course, near Bukit Timah and Dunearn Roads. Singapore Sporting Club founded the first racecourse at Serangoon Road in 1842. In 1924, the club was renamed "Singapore Turf Club". The racecourse was moved to the new premises in Bukit Timah on 15 April 1933 and later to Kranji in August 1999. Title devised by Library staff.
