Wisma Geylang Serai Competition, Singapore : Presentation Panels : artist's impression, site plan and section drawing

Architectural Plan

Information About

This panel comprises an artist's impression of the proposed Wisma Geylang Serai (WGS) building, its site plan and section drawings. They were submitted for the Wisma Geylang Serai Design Competition, organised by the Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) for the People's Association (PA) in 2013. The WGS is a PA-run multi-agency civic centre that provides community, cultural and social services to the public. The artist's impression on top right highlights the shape of the building, which is designed after the "tanjak", or the Malay male headgear. The site plan on top left shows the front facade of WSG as it faces Geylang Road, which is preceded by a wide, open walkway. The design concept and the section drawings occupy the lower half of the panel. This submission is one of four shortlisted schemes of the competition. Date of creation estimated.
