This 1985 photograph shows a coffeeshop, named Yoong Say Restaurant, at the intersection between Foch Road and Lavender Street. The coffeeshop is housed in a row of two-storey shophouses. The year of construction, 1930 is also seen on the decorative signage in moulded plaster on the shophouse's façade. Foch Road is named after the Marshal of France Ferdinand Foch, commander of the French army and allied armies in World War I. Date of creation estimated. Title devised by Library staff.
