This picture depicts Kheng Chiu Happy Lodge (or Kheng Chiu Loke Tin Kee Home (琼州乐善居)). The lodge, which was set up in 1902 at Jalan Ampas, cared for the sick and aged Hainanese migrants. It was temporarily relocated to Kim Tian Road in 1999 while a new home was built at 70, Tampines Avenue 4. Title devised by Library staff.
