This is the facade of Tou Mu Kung Temple (斗母宫) at 5½ milestone Upper Serangoon Road. The temple worships Nine Emperor Gods (九皇大帝) but bears the name of Goddess of the North Star (斗母), mother of Nine Emperor Gods. It was established by Mr. Ong Choo Kee, a Chinese businessman, in 1921. On 14 January 2005, the Preservation of Monuments Board gazetted the temple as a national monument. Title devised by Library staff.
