He was Deputy Chairman and Deputy Managing Director of Wing Tai Holdings Limited (1984-to date); the founding Chairman of DesignSingapore Council (Aug 2003-2008); Board Member of Urban Redevelopment Authority (1991-1994); Member of Construction Industry Development Board (1992-1994); Director of the Singapore Airlines Limited (1996-2004); Vice-President (1989) and later President of Real Estate Developers' Association of Singapore or REDAS (1991-1993); Chairman of Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited (May 2003-to date) and Mapletree Investments Private Limited (Nov 2003-to date); and Member of Board of Trustees of Nanyang Technological University (2006-to date).
