This is a profile of Miss Tay Chin Joo, national swimming champion and winner of the Sportswoman of the Year for 1972. She represented Singapore in the Olympic Games (1972). Her elder sister, Miss Nora Tay Chin Hong, is also a swimmer and she represented Singapore in the South East Asian Peninsular (SEAP) Games (1965, 1967, 1971, 1973) and the Asian Games (1970).
