This is a half-length portrait of Mr. Ang Peng Siong, national swimming champion, holding up his gold medal. He was the winner of the Best Sportman of the Year for three consecutive years from 1982 to 1984, awarded by the Singapore National Olympic Council for his achievements in swimming events. His father, Mr. Ang Teck Bee, was a national coach for Judo and winner of the Coach of the Year award twice, in 1969 and 1975. Title devised by Library staff.
