Information About

This is a photograph of a two-storey building, belonging to the early shophouse architectural style in Singapore. The first shophouses in Singapore were erected in the 1840s. Typical of the early shophouse, the house has simple lines with minimal ornamentation with two front façade windows on the upper storey. The columns of the house are reminiscent of the Tuscan or Doric order. Title devised by Library staff.
