View of the four-storey classroom block of Nanyang Primary School (南洋小学) at 51, Coronation Road. The school was established as primary section of Nanyang Girls' High School in 1917 by Messrs. Tan Chu Nan and Teo Eng Hock. It was relocated to King's Road in 1927. The primary section was separated from Nanyang Girls' High School (南洋女子中学校) in 1978. A new four-storey building was built on Coronation Road and completed in July 1985. When Nanyang Girls' High School left for Linden Drive on 6 June 1999, the primary school took over the school site. A six-storey building was built. On 4 June 2003, the school was relocated to 52, King's Road. Past principals of Nanyang Primary School are Madam Ho Chin Geok (1978-Dec 1997); Miss Susan Lim Poh Suan (林宝碹, 1998-Dec 2002); Madam Heng Boey Hong (王梅凤, Jan 2003-Dec 2009); and Mrs. Lee Hui Feng (钟蔚芬, Dec 2009-to date).
