This is a half-length portrait of Mr. P.F. de Souza, a prominent Eurasian lawyer, Unofficial Member of Singapore Advisory Council (1947) and Nominated Unofficial Member of Legislative Council of Singapore (1948-1953). He was President of Eurasian Association (1948-1957); Vice-President of Singapore Recreation Club (1962-1963); and senior partner of the law firm, De Souza and De Souza.
