This is a façade of Kandang Kerbau Market or Tekka Market opposite Kandang Kerbau Police Station. The market was built in 1915 and bounded by Hastings Road, Sungei Road, Serangoon Road and Clive Street. It was demolished in 1982. Built across the street from the site of the old market is the six-storey Tekka Mall. After renovation works, it was renamed "The Verge" in 2008. Title devised by Library staff.
