The photograph shows the shop front of a two-storey building of shophouses . The shop is a tea house, as the Chinese characters across the front of the shop reads “Fu An cha shi”. Such shophouses were probably built around the period from 1930s to the 1960s. The shophouses have the typical orange clay roof tiles and the traditional Art Deco style, with classical motifs such as column orders, arches, keystones, pediments with geometric designs. A trishaw is parked in front of the shophouse. Title devised by Library staff.
