This picture shows a soldier saluting Lieutenant Colonel Patrick Sim Hak Kng during a military function at the parade square of the Tanah Merah Camp. He was the third Commander of the 2nd Singapore Infantry Brigade or 2 SIB from 13 May 1971 to 21 November 1971; succeeding Colonel James Teo, who served from July 1970. The Camp was home to the 2 SIB from 1968 to 1976. The HQ 2 SIB was relocated to the former School of Basic Military Training complex in Changi Camp, occupying Blocks 117 and 118 between 1976 and 1982. In April 1982, HQ 2 SIB moved to the Temple Hill. Title devised by Library staff.
