This is a view of the Giok Hong Tian Temple (玉皇殿) at Havelock Road, near the corner of Zion Road. The temple is dedicated to Jade Emperor or Yu Huang Shang Ti (玉皇上帝). It was established in 1887 by Mr. Cheong Hong Lim (章芳琳), a prominent Hokkien philanthropist and opium and spirits trader. Title devised by Library staff.
