This is a partial view of Shuang Lin Temple (also known as Siong Lim Temple), a Buddhist temple at Kim Keat Road, off Balestier Road. The Buddhist temple was built between 1898 and 1912 on the land of a Chinese merchant, Mr. Low Kim Pong (1837-1909) with the help of Mr. Yeo Poon Seng, a sawmill owner. The temple is now known as "Lian Shan Shuang Lin Monastery" and located at Jalan Toa Payoh. On 17 October 1980, the Preservation of Monuments Board gazetted the temple as a national monument. Title devised by Library staff.
