This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Professor Lim Chong Yah, Professor and Senior Professor of Economics (1969-1992); Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (1971-1977); and Head of the Department of Economics and Statistics (1977-1992) at the National University of Singapore. He is presently Professor of Economics and Director of Economic Growth Centre of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Professor Lim is also the founding chairman of the National Wages Council (1972-2001) and the Skills Development Fund Advisory Council (1979-1982). Title devised by Library staff.
