This is the facade of the 16-storey Cathay Building at the foot of Mount Sophia in Dhoby Ghaut. It housed Cathay Cinema, the first air-conditioned cinema in Singapore that was opened on 3 October 1939. The film on show is "The Mouse that Roared". Title devised by Library staff.
