This is a photograph of grassroot leaders at the newly upgraded Fengshan Community Club at 20 at Bedok North Street 2. Fengshan Community Centre was opened to the public on 7 December 1987 and it was officially declared open by Prime Minister, Mr. Lee Kuan Yew on 2 July 1988. In July 1990, the Centre was renamed "Fengshan Community Club". The Club was upgraded and was declared open again by Professor S. Jayakumar, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law and Member of Parliament for East Coast GRC (Bedok) on 17 October 2001. Title devised by Library staff.
