This is the entrance gate of Maris Stella High School (海星中学) at 25, Mount Vernon Road. The school was established in January 1958 by Reverend Brother Joseph Chanel. It operated from several premises before moving to Mount Vernon Road in 1966. The new school premises was declared open by Mr. Ong Pang Boon, Minister for Education, on 25 February 1967. Past principals are Reverend Brother Joseph Chanel Soon (1958-1982); Reverend Brother John Lek Soon Tee (1982-1984); Brother Anthony Tan Kim Hock (1984-2009); and Mr. Joseph Lim Choon Kiat (林俊杰, Dec 2009-to date).
