Information About
Mr. Ivan William Allan, a trained lawyer and later one of the most successful trainers in the local circuit. He dominated the racing scene from 1972 to 1990 – managing horses from Tan Sri Dr. Runme Shaw; Tan Sri Dr. Tan Chin Tuan of Chen's Stable; Datuk Amar Wee Hood Teck; and Choo Kok Leong of Equus Stable. He won the Singapore Gold Cup and Singapore Derby nine times for each race event. He also made news when he becomes champion trainer for seven times in 1974 to 1978, and 1982 to 1983. He was awarded the Piaget Singapore Gold Cup Hall of Fame in 1991. TItle devised by Library staff.
