This is a photograph of Chinese wood carvings and potted plants framing the entrance to the hall of Chui Huay Lim Club (醉花林) at Keng Lee Road. The clubhouse was demolished around 2009 to make way for a private residential development. The Club was founded by businessman Tan Cheng Poh (陈成宝) in 1845 for the Teochew business community to network and interact. Title devised by Library staff.
