This is a head-and-shoulder portrait of Mr. Rudolf William Mosbergen, Principal of Naval Base School from 1965 to 1966 and composer of the school song. He was a teacher at St. Joseph's Institution (1955-1960); Lecturer at Teachers' Training College (1961-1964); Principal of Pasir Panjang Secondary School (1967-1968), Swiss Cottage Secondary School (1969-1975) and Raffles Junior College (1982-1987); Assistant Director of Curriculum (1976-1980); and Deputy Director of Institute of Education (1980-1981). He represented Singapore in hockey in the 1956 Olympics in Melbourne.
