This is a 1982 photograph of Mountbatten Road, towards the west from Margate Road. It shows a view of a paved road lined with trees, and guard fences on both sides. A single-storey house is visible on the right. Mountbatten Road is named after Lord Louis Mountbatten (1900-1979), Supreme Allied Commander in Southeast Asia from 1943 to 1945. Title devised by Library staff.
