This is a book on Singapore land law, a subject which has as its foundation, English common law and, until the enactment of the Application of English Law Act in November 1993, pre-1826 English statutes. The subject has been developed by various local legislation based on English counterparts of the same period. These diverse sources make an already complex subject even more so. This book deals with the manner in which land may be held and dealt with by individuals. There are chapters on the basic concepts of ownership, dealings in land, the registration systems, as well as the strata titles.
