This booklet provides information on the gas supply of Singapore. It recounts the early days when gas was supplied by the Singapore Gas Company in 1861 and how this role was eventually taken over by the Municipal Commissioners. In 1963, the Public Utilities Board (PUB) took over the responsibility of supplying gas in Singapore, and gas supply was eventually made available to all public housing estates.
