This Journal is published to commemorate the occasion of the 10th Anniversary of the SITC. It is an opportune time to take stock not only of the progress and development of the SITC in the past decade but also of the historical development of the whole insurance industry in Singapore and its future possibilities. It is rather comprehensive, covering all segments and facets of the Singapore insurance industry. An obvious attempt has been made by the authors to inject colour and interest in the historical write-up by including, wherever possible, their personal experiences, observations and recollections.
