This book chronicles Mail's rite of passage from a young teenager, a school dropout, to his quest to get married. Mail claims to have fallen in love four times in the span of eight years. However, Cikgu Salman, believes Mail confuses love with pity and lust. Nevertheless, Mail eventually gets married on 6 December 1980 after proving that he could be a successful businessman. The book's futuristic elements breaks conventional norms in Malay practices and more importantly, it imparts the importance of lifelong learning as early as the 1970s, which today, becomes a necessity for a better life.
