Ihis book contains brief biographies of the 108 heroes of rhe Water Margin whose heroic achentures and sacrifice for their country gave them a special place in Chinese culture. These brave men and women stood united against the petty feudal lords and corrupt government officials (luring the reign of the Song emperor, Hui Zong, (1101-1125). They vowed to destroy tyranny and corruption and ensure justice for all. Though considered outlaws their cause was noble. They were seen as heroes by the common people.
