Information About

This is a map of Southeast Asia, showing the region between Ceylon, Japan, the Mariana Islands, Timor and the Philippine Islands. Two small inset-maps, one showing the delta of the Ganges river. Includes a drawing of the Great Wall in China. The map is based upon a 1643 portolan chart by the Portugese Royal mapmaker Joao Teixeira. It is taken from Melchisedec Thevenot's Relations de divers voyages curieux. -- Dealer's description.
