The DBS 50 Index is a new share price index of 50 representative stocks, selected to track the price performance of the Singapore incorporated companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Singapore. This publication provides the essential background informationabout DBS 50. Specifically, it presents an account of the method of constructing the Index and a short profile of the 50 companies included in the Index. The value of this publication has also been greatly enhanced by the reproduction of the daily Index computed for every trading day for the past fifteen years from 2 January 1975 onwards. This will furnish the necessary time seriesinformation for investors to conduct in-depth studies ofthe securities market in Singapore. It is a very useful reference for investment analysts and investors.
