This book helps to disseminate the facts and practices of venture capital development in the Asia Pacific region, with special reference to Singapore. The foundation for the transplant of venture capital in Singapore took place in the early '80s with the entry of SEAVI and the creation of the Singapore Science Park (SSP), the island's own Silicon Valley or Technology Corridor'. The details and information on the various groups of venture capitalists in Singapore as well as the current results of their investment activities - the investee companies are described. The authors have also taken on the challenges to preview some of the prospects and challenges facing the venture capital industry in the 1990s.
