Information About

The 1990 Census of Population is the third census carried out in Singapore since independence. It is the largest national statistical exercise involving the utilization of much human and computer resources. The census results provide the most comprehensive snapshot of the population at a given point in time for monitoring and planning of government programmes and policies. The information is also useful to the private sector for their planning needs.
