In this second edition, coverage have been expanded by adding several advanced topics to provide a comprehensive reference for both students and professionals. Features in the book are boxed enclosure for more complicated mathematical material, every part includes an introductory section, stating the general mathematical problem under study, motivation is provided by describing how the problem would be approached in the absence of computers and how the method would be used in engineering practice.
