This proceedings volume is the result of the efforts made by the Study Group on Singapore-India Relations (SGSIR). The Study Group's conference on emerging linkages was held in the heat of a growing "India fever". This conference marked the first step in the programme of the SGSIR to provide well-informed analyses of the linkages between Singapore and India.
