About the Book

This publication is a compendium of fifty National Day rally speeches made by Singapore's prime ministers Mr Lee Kuan Yew, Mr Goh Chok Tong and Mr Lee Hsien Loong delivered between 1966 and 2015. The speeches chronicle key political, social and economic changes that Singapore has experienced over the past five decades since Independence. They also provide a valuable summation of all the major issues encountered each year, the challenges faced, as well as the policies and strategies that have shaped Singapore during the last fifty years.
