S Rajendran, also known as Rajendran Sinnathamby (1938 - 2024), served as a Judge in the Supreme Court of Singapore and was a former Chairman of the Hindu Endowments Board.

Born in Johor, Malaysia, Rajendran graduated from the University of Malaya with a law degree in 1961. The next year, he began his career in the legal service as Deputy Public Prosecutor / State Counsel in the Attorney General’s Chambers. He was appointed as a Magistrate in 1963 and subsequently became a District Judge in 1966.

In 1977, Rajendran left the legal service to join Khattar Wong & Partners as a Partner. He returned to public service as a Judicial Commissioner in 1990 and was appointed a Supreme Court Judge in 1991, a position he held until 2003. When he retired in 2005, he established his own law firm, Messrs S Rajendran and ran it until 2008. He passed away in 2024 at the age of 85 due to pneumonia.

In addition to his legal services, Rajendran served as President of the National University of Singapore Society from 1970 to 1971. After his retirement from the legal service, he was appointed as Chairman of the Hindu Endowments Board in 2005 and held the position till 2014. In recognition of his service, he was awarded the Public Service Star in 2011. Rajendran also represented the Hindu community on the Presidential Council for Religious Harmony for a six-year term from 2011.
