The Singapore Tamil Teachers' Union, in collaboration with the Vetrimayil organisation in Malaysia, has been publishing the Singapore edition of Sutti Mayil as a monthly magazine since 2014. The first editor of this edition was C. Samikkannu. Sutti Mayil is published with the aim of continuously enhancing the reading habits and creative skills of Tamil students in Singapore.
The magazine features stories, articles, excerpts, serialised picture stories, general knowledge updates, and more, catering to students from Primary 4 to Secondary 2. Additionally, students can listen to selected stories in audio format using QR codes provided alongside the text. In 2025, the Singapore edition of Sutti Mayil achieved a monthly circulation of about 3,000 copies in schools.
